Registered Acupuncturist and Dr. of Chinese Medicine: Wenli Wang
Wenli Wang is a registered acupuncturist in Calgary. She was born in China. Her grandfather was a well-known local Chinese Medicine doctor when he was alive. She was wanted to succeed to her grandfather’s knowledge and career. Finally after she grew up, she became engaged in Chinese Medicine including acupuncture after 8 years of full time education of Medicine.
Graduated from China with a degree in Medicine including conventional and Chinese Medicine after 8 year full time study, Wenli had worked as a MD in China at different departments, such as rehab, orthopedics, acupuncture/physio, internal medicine, Herbology etc. Before she came to Canada, she had worked in provincial largest hospital of Congregation of Conventional Medicine and Chinese Medicine for 15 years.
Besides conventional meds, She had used acupuncture and Chinese herbs to treat varieties of cases. Up to now, Wenli has been working in this field for over 30 years. More over, as the hospital where she used to work is the teaching hospital of the university, she also was involved in instructing/guiding students of different levels, including international students from different countries.
Wenli still remembers when she was a teenager, she took the national entrance exams for universities. She got a severe cold that caused complete hoarseness before the day when she would take an interview for the exam. At this urgent situation, she was recommended to a Chinese Medicine doctor. The Chinese Medicine doctor prescribed a Chinese herbal decoction to her and the next morning she could speak as usual. As such, many other good examples about Chinese Medicine and acupuncture can be given to you if you are interested.
Currently Wenli Wang is a registered acupuncturist in Alberta. She has worked as a registered acupuncturist in Calgary for 17 years and owns a wellness clinic in SW Calgary where acupuncture, massage, herbal medicine services are provided. She wants to tell you that Chinese Medicine gradually becomes more than an alternative medicine in western countries. It can be used as a remedy or a complimentary method for many complaints, such as neck pain, back pain, paralysis, stress, anxiety, addictions, digestive system disorder, reproductive system issue etc.
